Stewart Duffy

Formerly of RadcliffesLeBrasseur, Stewart is a Legal Director in our healthcare team. Dual-qualified in medicine and law, Stewart’s specialist work involves professional and systems regulation including data protection and judicial review.

Stewart advises professionals, public bodies and private sector organisations on a range of regulatory issues. His work encompasses professional disciplinary proceedings, regulatory compliance, primary care contractual disputes, governance and data protection advice.

As well as publishing on medical topics, Stewart has published on a variety of legal topics including healthcare disciplinary and employment law and powers of detention on public health grounds.

Stewart has a medical degree and MD from Trinity College, Dublin and spent a number of years in hospital practice. He then went on to study law at University College Dublin and re-qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales having been called to the New York State Bar. Stewart holds a Certificate in Data Protection Practice from the Law Society of Ireland.
