Our paralegals support partners and fee earners by attending court and tribunal hearings, preparing cases and court bundles and undertaking research. This also includes looking after clients and liaising with counsel and fee earners.

Vacancies – New Paralegal vacancy
This role is to assist with debt collection for the firm within our Accounts department
This will be a 6 month fixed term contract starting as soon as possible.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Attending meetings with partners and the Revenue Manager to discuss outstanding debts and taking a note of agreed actions
- Preparing letters to clients and assembling relevant invoices and contracts
- Diarising follow up actions
- Answering client queries when they call in
- Dealing with fee earner debt queries
- Researching the position on clients assets
We do not require candidates to have any prior experience of debt collection, although if they do, that will be an added bonus. We will provide all the relevant training. If you have experience of litigation that would be a useful advantage but this is not required.
The most important skills are: good written and verbal communication skills, able to take accurate notes in meetings, good interpersonal skills, especially over the phone, persistence and resilience, good numeracy, systematic and good attention to detail.
The salary will be £21,000 pa.
