Annual Mental Health Law Conference 2020
Due to the ongoing uncertainties surrounding the Covid-19 situation, I am sorry to have to announce that we have been forced to cancel our Annual Mental Health Conference which was planned for 1 October 2020. After running this event for well over a decade, this is of course disappointing. However, the safety and well-being of our delegates and staff is a priority, as I’m sure you will understand, and at present there is no certainty about the practicalities of this. Our next full conference will be held in October 2021.
In the meantime, we plan to share Mental Health law developments through an online replacement for the conference in October. This is likely to take the form of a webinar and we will be in touch again nearer the time with details of how to register for this.
We are of course on hand to help with any questions you may have about mental health, and health and social care law, which is changing rapidly week by week, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team. Do also take the time to look at the briefings section of our website where we have published briefings on a range of Covid-19 related legal issues as well as a series of briefings on the possible amendments to the Mental Health Act.
Thank you to the huge numbers of people that have supported this conference over the years. I am sure you will be as disappointed as us that we have had to make this decision for this year, but it will be back as good as ever in due course.
With our very best wishes
