Property seminar: The MEES regulations impact on dilapidations claims – Thursday 15 March
From 1 April 2018 it will be unlawful for landlords to grant a new or renewal lease of commercial properties with EPC ratings of F or G. Fines for non-compliance will run up to £150,000 per property for every three month infringement and offending landlords will have their details publicised.
From 1 April 2023 it will be unlawful to allow an existing letting of an F or G rated property to continue and the same enforcement will apply.

About the speakers
Terry Davis is a partner at T N Davis Chartered Surveyors and a diminution expert. He has dealt with a large number of Diminution Valuations on behalf of both landlords and tenants and is a regular co-presenter at RICS Dilapidations Roadshows and forum conferences.
Ben Strange is Head of Professional Services at Ingleton Wood LLP and a chartered building surveyor specialising in dilapidations, with a particular expertise on the impact of MEES.
Simon Hartley is a partner in RadcliffesLeBrasseur’s Property Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in London and provides comprehensive advice on all facets of contentious commercial real estate work.
