Cheryl is a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team.
Cheryl advises on a broad range of contentious matters including breach of contract, media related disputes and professional discipline. She also advises on contentious probate and intellectual property (IP) litigation.
Cheryl’s clients range from individuals to private limited companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships.
Experience
- Acting for a solicitor in an appeal against a finding of dishonesty in civil proceedings
- Defending a threatened intervention by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
- Advising on and preparing pre-action correspondence
- Advising clients in respect of contractual disputes
- Defending solicitors in regulatory proceedings against the SRA
- Defending clients in CPR 44.11 misconduct proceedings
- Defending clients in fraud investigations
- Issuing and managing litigation claims to trial
- Making a range of court applications including a ‘passing over’ application under s.116 Senior Courts Act and applications for injunctive relief under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997
