Local authority or CCG funding disputes
Since December 2010, in England and Wales, there have been more than seven judicial review cases concerned with disputes between local authorities and groups of care homes regarding the level of fees to be paid for the care of elderly residents.
Our extensive knowledge of the way in which care homes are managed and operated means that we are ideally placed to advise care home owners on their prospects of success in challenging refusals by local authorities or PCTs to agree appropriate increases in fees for local authority or PCT funded residents.
In judicial review cases, time is of the essence. If you are contemplating taking action in respect of a decision either to freeze fees or to increase them to a cursory amount then it is important to contact us immediately as there is a limited time frame for seeking judicial review.
