Untoward incidents (including staff, resident or visitor injury claims)
Serious untoward incidents require careful handling. They may include suicide, patient or visitor injury, sexual assaults, attacks on staff, harassment, breaches of confidentiality, environmental hazards or serious health and safety breaches.
In an emergency, important steps can be overlooked.
We have considerable experience of advising care home staff on what to do following a serious untoward incident. We can advise you on the necessary steps to take and can assist with any unwanted publicity issues that may unfortunately arise.
We can liaise on your behalf with the police, Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), if required.
We are available 24 hours a day through our emergency advice helpline. For further information please contact Andrew Parsons.
