The family department has considerable experience of advising on the legal issues arising from the breakdown of marriage, and on other family related matters. We appreciate that family conflicts require careful handling, and we approach all matters with empathy and discretion.

The outcome of legal proceedings can have serious financial implications. Our goal is to protect your position and achieve the best outcome possible. The solicitors in the department are members of Resolution, a national organisation of family solicitors committed to a non-confrontational approach to disputes. However, we are firm when we need to be, and where litigation is appropriate we will guide you through every stage of the court process.

The family team is part of the firm’s larger Private Client Department. We can provide expert in-house advice on financial matters arising out of divorce, including tax, Wills, trusts (onshore and offshore) and assets held in different jurisdictions.
